Detailed assessment of your child’s function in play,
movement skills, social skills and daily activities. A combination of therapist
observations, standardised assessments, parent and teacher report measures are used in the assessment process:
Stage 1: Assessment Process
o
Parental intake interview (1 hour-online)
o
Assessment session using standardised and
non-standardised assessments (1. 5 hours-clinic based)
o
Parental feedback & individualised psycho-education
session
(1.5 hours-online)
o
Consultation with other providers as necessary
(teachers, Psychologist, SLTs etc).
Stage 2: Dissemination of report & feedback
o
Report is completed to give a detailed,
child-centred clinical impression of the child and their function in different
areas. Recommendation for therapy made if deemed necessary.
o
Individualised programme of recommendations will
be made specific to the child’s needs and recommendations for home and school
will be made also.
o
Parents are supplied with draft report for
review & sign-off prior to feedback session.
